Banyan's core thesis is that Al-native technology is the dominant force of our lifetime that will propel humanity forward and unlock unprecedented value, far surpassing past technological revolutions like electricity, computing, the web, and mobile. Banyan exclusively invests in Al-native technology, which is designed with Al at its core from inception. We deploy capital in two core areas only:

1. Al-Native Infrastructure: These companies reduces the cost of building Al & increase GPU utilization which includes subfields like silicon chips, foundational models, GPU compute, storage, networking, the Generative Al developer stack & more
2. Al-Native Application Software: These companies build products from day zero with state-of-the-art Al advancements native in the offering and, through virality or product value creation, possess extremely valuable first-party data. This provides greater value for end-users, drives faster adoption, and demands premium valuations.

Banyan believes non-Al-native investments will struggle or be forced to rapidly pivot, making it difficult to update their underlying offerings. We see Al-native technology as targeting every sector of the economy, creating new software categories, and replacing antiquated markets with non-Al-native technology.
